The decapping pin is secured using an ER collet, a method commonly employed in precision machining for its firm and accurate grip. This design, in conjunction with our hardened decapping pin, allows for reliable removal of primers, even from Berdan-primed cases (note: not primarily intended for Berdan primers).
At the heart of this die is the internal resizing sleeve, made from hardened tool steel designed for cold forming processes. This material offers high toughness and wear resistance, achieving a hardness exceeding 60 HRC. The interior resizing cone is precision-ground and lapped to achieve an optimal surface finish, minimizing friction during resizing.
A distinctive feature of this die is the combination of surface coatings that provide additional micro-hardness and reduce the coefficient of friction. The entry to the resizing sleeve has a minimal lead-in chamfer, allowing it to resize a greater portion of the cartridge case compared to competing dies.
