Hardened Decapping Pin Hi UNI NX

The Hi UNI NX Hardened Decapping Pin is based on our proven Hi UNI design, using the same premium tool steel, manufacturing process, and heat treatment. The only difference is the modified tip geometry, specifically optimized for cartridge cases with reduced flash holes (Nontox).

The working tip has a diameter of 1.3 mm, allowing it to pass through reduced flash holes with minimal resistance. This is particularly beneficial for users of motor-driven reloading presses equipped with adjustable slip clutches, where lower decapping force helps prevent unnecessary clutch disengagement.

Within the geometric limitations imposed by the smaller diameter, the tip profile has been designed to closely match the original pin. The working section of the pin remains cylindrical along its entire functional length, ensuring accurate guidance through the flash hole.

Like all decapping pins in our Hi series, the Hi UNI NX is manufactured from premium tool steel and heat-treated to achieve excellent hardness and wear resistance.

The reduced tip diameter is a necessary compromise for reliable operation with reduced flash holes. Therefore, its service life cannot be expected to match that of the standard Hi UNI, which is optimized for conventional primer pockets.

The best results are achieved when used in properly adjusted presses and with clean cartridge cases free of internal debris. This minimizes the risk of pin misalignment with the flash hole and reduces the likelihood of tip damage.
